Proforest Services
Will Oldham - Principal
A locally owned Dunedin business, Proforest Services employs 25 staff and offers a wide range of Forestry Services, from planting, spot spraying, pruning and thinning. Proforest is a member of Top Spot and is SafeTree certified.
Lister Helicopters
AliSter liSter - Principal
Lister Helicopters provides a full range of Agricultural spraying, from high volume brushweed to low volume crop spraying, operating five helicopters in the South Otago area. There pilots have an extensive chemical and fertiliser knowledge and work closely with local transport operators and chemical suppliers to make application hassle-free.
Lister Helicopters are an AirCare and Spreadmark Accredited operator and hold a Fire and Emergency NZ Certificate of Compliance.
Dennis E Hayes Logging

Established in 1986 by Dennis Hayes, in 2016 Jeremy took over the running of the business from his father. They have
a high producing mechanised crew, employing six staff, operating Cat Diggers, Tigercat Skidder and a recently purchased Madill 120 Swing Yarder. A member of Top Spot the crew has bagged many awards from 1st Mechanised Felling, 1st Ground Base Extraction, 1st Mechanical Logging to name just a few. Working toward Contractor Certification, this crew is five years LTI free.
Tricky Treefellers
nAthAn StuArt- Principal
Based in Tapanui, Tricky Treefellers work throughout Otago and Southland. They are a small ground-based crew, specialising in farm forestry. Nathan has extensive experience in forestry includes as an arborist, sawmilling and logging work.
Summit Logging
MichAel And Scott thoMAS - Principals
Summit Logging are a new crew based in Mosgiel operating a mechanised harvesting crew. Run by two brothers with a family background in forestry harvesting and health and safety, Summit Logging are SafeTree certified.
Helicopters Otago
Helicopters Otago Ltd offers the complete agricultural operation, dedicated to quality, value and precision. Their pilots and ground crew are all specialists and are extensively trained in the application of all types of agri-chemicals and fertiliser products. Our helicopters are fitted with purpose-built spray gear, bucket equipment and GPS systems.
From crops to forestry, bush weeds to thistles, Helicopters Otago’s spraying systems are calibrated, manufactured and approved to the current Civil Aviation Authority standards. Each helicopter is supported by a well-trained ground crew, four-wheel drive vehicle and 1,200 litre fuel tanker.
Their buckets are manufactured to a special design, which has been perfected after many thousands of hours of commercial bucket work, on all types of materials and weather conditions. The buckets have calibrated flow rates for the accurate spreading of fertliser and sowing of seed.
